You’ll have to forgive me for the infrequent updates lately. I’ve been struggling just a bit with my mental health here in semi-quarantine still and my motivation to work on certain projects is falling victim in a major way.

I’ve also been struggling for a few years now with “Avibus” as a series and where I want to go with it…

I’m simply not the writer I was in 2014 when it began and the direction with which to take it is a lot less clear. This is probably odd to say only one chapter into a new book, I know. It’s not so much a matter of not knowing what happens next as much as… I don’t remember anymore what exactly the story is about. I know where the characters are going and what’s going to happen to them, but… more than that? I don’t know anymore.

Perhaps it’s part of the uber-depression that I’ve been dealing with this year. Either way, there are a few questions I need to ruminate on in a serious way when it comes to “Avibus” as a whole. The first being whether I’m going to undergo the massive project of going back through book one and revitalizing the art and storyline. I’m just not proud of what I look back on in the way I want to be.

You’ll be able to keep up with series development and WIPs by pledging on Patreon. As I return to a regular writing schedule, there’ll even be story and script excerpts available to applicable tiers every month! September’s bonus illustration was a cute little feature of Scarlet and Gabe having some childish fun in the leaves. Patrons get first access to bonus illustrations and $5+ pledges get high resolution downloads to use as wallpapers!

I’ve been working on my store a bit lately! There’s a couple “Avibus” prints available if you wanted some fridge or wall art of these goobers, not to mention the new Pop! style stickers of the main four~

Also, hey… guess what? There’s a new Kickstarter running now for some cool Saints’Quarter merch!

There are a few goodies in funding, including pixiemoth enamel pins, companion charms, and Shoppe Arcana stickers with rewards starting at only $5 USD! The first few tiers revolve around which of the items you can pre-order. At $75 and higher, you can get bonuses such as custom artwork, cameo-ing in the current running episode, and hand-printed totes!

We are 79% the first goal and funding ends October 7th at 1pm. Go check it out!
